Start Menu way too big on 5760 x 1080

I have 3 27" monitors in Surround which gives a resolution of 5760 x 1080. The problem is with the scaling of the start menu being way too big. I believe on a 1920x1080 you will get 5 rows of tiles for the start menu but for some reason with the above resolution, it scales way up. I guess because of the 5760 resolution horizontally.

I've tried a few registry tweaks for max rows, etc. but nothing helps. It won't go above 3 rows. So the result is I have a large amount of space to show the start menu but it scales up so huge, I still need to scroll to see everything. I can literally read the tiles just fine from 20 feet away from the screen.

If I could get the 5 rows like on a normal 1920x1080 except that it keeps going across all 3 screens, that would be awesome.

Hello Steve, and welcome to Eight Forums.

You might see if using the tutorial below to change the scaling of the Start screen may help.

I tried that option too and it doesn't work, unless someone knows of a magical number to put in there.

I had the same issue when I have my 3 x 27" monitors using Eyefinity.

Personally, I leave mine set to be extended instead so each monitor is separate. This way I can full screen a window in only one monitor instead of it all 3.

That's way too big and space wasting.

I think you should have six rows with that resolution, or seven. Not too sure though.

    Hello Andy,

It's a side effect of having the 3 monitors act as 1 large one.

I'm curious as to what this would look like. Any chance a screenshot of the whole fatty menu can be shared?

    Sure thing. It's 3 x 27" monitors at 5760x1080.
