Solved Change the language on Start Screen

I have just bought a new laptop which came loaded with Windows 8........ (loving it so far) except I am living in Dubai & am British. On the initial set up I was unable to change the language from Arabic to English but thought I would be able to do this once I had completed the initial setup as was the case

However some of the boxes in the start screen are still written in Arabic & I have tried everything I can think of to change these to English.

When I went into some of the boxes to see what they were, the title of the box automatically changed to English but not all of them

Anyone got any ideas on how to change the titles of these boxes???

Hi there

Go to desktop, open up control panel, go to Clock. Language, Region, select Region, Go to location & change your home location to UK, then go to administrative & change system locale to UK. Once you have done all this whilst still in administrative tab, copy settings & make sure you check the boxes at the bottom (welcome screen & new users)

This should change the tiles to English (it worked for me)

Good luck
