Solved Quicklaunch!

Hi everyone. New here (though I had 3 posts on the sevenforums )

I have setup my Windows 8 to skip all the metro crap and basically go to a desktop, where I installed POkki for a start menu which isn't bad, and also made a quicklaunch toolbar again. It's just like 7 now except it boots way faster !

I'm having the problem where whenever I shut down my computer, the next time I log in the quicklaunch has condensed to one icon and a little button that expands it upwards. I have to unlock the taskbar, resize it so it shows my 6 or 7 icons, and then lock the taskbar again.

Now, I don't want to pin everything to the taskbar, because those icons are more spaced out and I don't like how it looks. I wants my quicklaunch

So, can I have my cake and eat it too, does anyone know how to stop that quicklaunch toolbar from shrinking every time?

Double check to make sure that you used the same method as in the tutorial below to add Quick Launch on the taskbar.

Could you post some screenshots of what your Quick Launch looks like before and after shutting down or restarting the computer to see if anything may stand out as a cause?

Ahh yes, screenshots would help eh? Those directions are actually the ones I originally followed to make the toolbar in the first place So I should thank you for putting them up!

Just as a test, uninstall Pokki to see how Quick Launch behaves afterwards to see if that program may be responsible.

If Quick Launch works properly afterwards, then you might consider having Quick Launch on the far right side of the taskbar instead with Pokki installed to see how works there.

Thank you sir. I got rid of Pokki, and replaced it with another one called Classic Shell. Restarted... Quicklaunch remains!!
As a bonus, I think I prefer Classic Shell over Pokki. So double thanks! I checked out Pokki's site and there seem to be a few other problems with toolbars alongside Pokki (though none exactly what I had).
