Installing Gadgets

I'm running Win8 Pro and am using the Desktop, thus, I want to add the gadgets I have already working in Win7.

I downloaded a file from a thread that involves running a ".cmd" file and copying a folder.

Want to know if anyone has done this, and if so, what were there experiences.

Also, if there is a better way to do this, I would like to know that.

You could try this: 8GadgetPack - Gadgets for Windows 8

(Just remember that the use of gadgets can represent a security risk for your PC)

Please note that the latest version (Version 8.0) of the Gadget Pack works perfectly fine with Windows 8.1
