    Volume Bar Placement

    Hi there,

    Iam using Windows 8 x64 in Desktop Mode.
    Does anyone know if the placement of the volume bar can be changed?
    I made a screenshot:

    the default position is now in win8 in the left upper area. i want it where it always has been, in the right lower corner.

    thanks

    There is a sound bar that is under the Settings charm that is right about where it's always been...

    If you use the volume keys on a keyboard, the volume bar appears where the OP showed it. Or if you use a Microsoft keyboard and install the MS keyboard drivers, you end up with two volume bars on the screen.

    ok i forgot to say how i change the volume. thought it didn't matter. it's an autohotkey script:

    Code:
    ^+SC04E::Send {Volume_Up}
    ^+SC04A::Send {Volume_Down}

    Then that is probably the issue, have you tried uninstalling Auto hotkey and see if it is corrected?

    well if i uninstall autohotkey i can't use my shortcuts anymore therefore i can't adjust the volume without clicking the volume meter in the taskbar or the new volume meter in the charms menu. i tried other programs that adjust the volume through hotkeys but none used the default windows visualization.
    i will ask in the autohotkey forum about this. it's not that important anyway.
    thanks for all the infos
