When selecting themes for Windows XP, Vista, and Win 7 I was able to specify (under advanced options) a light yellow background for most system windows. The effect was if I opened a new blank page in the ConTEXT editor, a blank page in a browser, a new page in MS Word or Excel, the new page would be light yellow instead of white.
I very much preferred this option because, when I was working for my college paper in the late '60s/early '70s, we were required to prepare and submit our articles on legal-sized light yellow paper. It was thought to be easier on the eyes of us authors, our editors, and our veri-typists who prepared our final copies for the printers.
Unfortunately, now I am unable to find out how to do that under Windows 8. I really dislike the bright white background I am apparently expected to use. Can someone show be how to get back my beloved light yellow window backgrounds?
Cheerily Yours,
Tim
