I have worked out how to get to the add location and change units in this app
but although have added my correct location cannot make it my home location
I want to get rid of the current home location which is 300 miles away from where I am!
Any help on doing that please ?

Right click anywhere in the window and at the bottom left is an icon which lets you select your Home location.

I did not have that icon until I updated the app this morning but all ok now!
