Change location

I would like to change the location setting of my system. The reason is that Windows 8 will assume the location of my provider which is some 100 kms away from where I live and I would like to set it to my actual location.
I know how to switch location on or off but not how to change the location.
Please advise.

Thank you, but this will only allow me to change the country, but I am in the same country as my provider, but about 60 miles away ...

So what exactly are you wanting to change?

Some Windows 8 apps (like G maps and Flight aware etc.) do use my location to center their information. But the provider of my internet is not close to my actual location so i get routing that is not very useful.
So, it is the information similar to the GPS-coordinates in my smartphone that I would like to change.

Likewise my Win8 location shows as somewhere in the adjacent city, whereas I would wish to see it over my house just as my iPad shows it.
