    Today [2]

Are you talking the Loma Prieta earthquake in 89, Bill? I was watching the Oakland/SF world series game that evening when the TV went fuzzy. My first thought was that the TV blew. I checked the other channels which worked and thought that was strange. Then I thought maybe it was the tuner was going bad. I started watching something else when the news bulletin came on to announce the earthquake.

We just had a good friend die last month by hitting a deer when riding her Harley in the north woods. When one thinks about it, 5 seconds either way could have prevented it. I believe when my number's called there isn't anything anyone can do about it. Live the max for today for tomorrow may never get here.

Yes, the Loma Prieta quake was the 1st really scary quake I ever experienced. Usually I like to stay real still to get the whole "ride". That one said run outside right away. A Guy

LOL! And run you did I bet! I lived in a little town called Enumclaw, WA at the foothills of Mt. Rainier for a bit. Learned some about seismic building technics and pyroclastic flow there. Living with the threat of both earthquakes and volcano. All a part of the Pacific rim. OMG! If/when Rainier blows, it'll make Mt. St. Helen lQQk like a firecracker! All I can say is it would be best to live on higher ground there!

Yea, welcome to Eight Forums, Fred!

I just got back to the great north woods. Great to be here. It's quiet! Made good time again. 5-1/2 hours.

Today I received an email from Microsoft. Technet Flash: Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation Now Available‏
    Available for 90-day evaluation.

    Has anyone done installing yet?

Want to know how it goes. Feel reluctant to do it myself.

Hi Kevin. I just installed 8 EE via TechNet. All went very well and quick. I went to x64 this time dual booting with my 7 x86. All went well following Brink's tutorials on prepping a drive from within 7. I did the installation booting off ISO disk from outside 7, although one can perform from within 7. It will eventually ask what partition/disk to install it on. I was a bit afraid there, but eventually it will ask after language/country screen.

I would suggest to make a list of what needs to be tasked in preparation, double checking as you go.

Start a thread if need be. We all can help you do it. That's what's nice about the forum.

Links to Brink's tutorials are below in my sig. Good for you and good luck!
