Today I decided it's time to fight the psychological obstacles and return to the Eight Forums.

I have not yet checked all the new stuff, threads and posts here, I will do it it shortly, so I do not know how it is today but last summer I suddenly got fed up with the fight between those who have adapted Eight and like it, and those who dislike Eight. I was really tired of defending myself and my keen interest in Windows 8, tired of the speed almost any thread turned to a fighting ground.

I simply logged out one day months ago and have not logged in since. I have thought of logging in many times but decided against it as I felt I do not want to fight, nor do I want to feel I need to defend myself.

Anyway, I have time in my hands and I am even more interested in Windows 8 in general and 8.1 in particular. Today I decided I will not provoke, do not let me being provoked, but I want to log in and start fresh.

Going to check messages and new tuts, threads and replies in my subscribed threads now. It will take some time as I have quite a lot to read.

From what I can see, it has turned to mostly help for people with issues, rather then people sniping at each other. A Guy

    Welcome back, Kari.

I agree with Bill on your expertise. Also with you on the arguing, although I admit that I hold my stance.

It was one of the reasons I didn't come here as often, it just seemed to be a sniping match between people. I like 8 and 8.1 and use it more than my Windows 7 machine, although that could be because it's on my Notebook and I can use that sitting in comfort in front of the telly.

I'm pretty sure there were some people who used 8 for a very short time, didn't like it, and then proceeded to bash it no matter what. I see people whose experience I trust saying they like it, so it must have merit. Even though I have no plans to go to it, and in fact, have a full version of 7 sitting here if needed, I wouldn't be horrified if I needed to use it

Decided to finally move up to 8.1.
Other than that, didn't do much. It's cold out and after eating so much yesterday, I was feeling lazy.

Today is the day.
Today is the day where someone will leak the hashes and build numbers of the TechNet RTM builds of Windows 8. So hopefully we'll see if the leaked RTM builds are the real McCoy or the whore's lipstick. Part of me hopes it's the latter....
