    Thanks Tony.

I have two bootable memory stick prepared for Win 7 and Win 8 Installation as running DVD is taking longer time to install.
But my current office work is quite within heavy load.

Want to hear first from you guys about how that enterprise release run. Three-month eval is too short to stay with

Ok Kevin. I see. I misinterpreted your reluctance. My mistake. I thought you meant you were nervous.

I went ahead and installed knowing the public release will be on October 26, if I read it correctly. That's less than 90 days from now.

    Ok. I'll go away now................

Ha ha That was fine Tony.

We've been here for learning Win 8 despite all thrown controversy on it.

There are always good things to know about.

I agree with Kevin, Tony I actually do wonder if 90 is FULL ON enough time to test it. Remember it is NOT this animal, it is Windows 8 Pro, a new animal, and were the ecosphere. Downloading right now on my side.

I hear you, Mike. As long as I'm dual-booting, I figure I'll be fine. The very worst scenario is a hard drive gets trashed. Right? It's been known before, but many moons ago. I figure to get an HDD anywho, so what have I got to lose? I have a mirror of my 7 for backup.

I'm a novice, not a Pro. I realize Pros have to take a different approach -> More to lose. On the other hand, in our throw-away world, how many members on this forum have 2, 3, 5 rigs of various types/makes? Using a couple to test on? If I were a Pro, with experience of Vista, I wouldn't touch a new OS on my rig with a 10 ft. pole on my main rig, no matter what company produced it. I bought this rig with Vista loaded. I'll even admit I upgraded from HP to Ultimate in ignorance. I started to hear the horror stories and have one of my own! I learned my lesson the hard way so far as new OSs are concerned. It was recent timing for me. It just so happened that I got more enthusiastic, heard about 8, joined this forum (Because I found it most helpful with loading 8), learned/learning a lot, and here I am.

Anywho, so far so good testing 8 EE x64. I have this gut feeling it will be a fine, stable OS even though it's controversial. I like the new UI and the direction M$ is headed. But, then again, I'm a novice.

Thank you, Mike. I'm flattered and honored! OK. Maybe I know more than the average Joe and I pick up on things fairly fast. I'll give you that. But, I'm not a Pro like some of you members on here. "No person ought to think more or less of themselves than what they ought" is what I try to live by.

Hey. Then leave the credit to me.

Been learning much from here and SF. Though not making me being an expert, it does give me much richer knowledge in helping friends around who are mostly average users.

Feel so so happy if ones have their PC problem solved and say "Thanks man, you are the one..!"

I can live with that, Velas..!

Yes Kevin! Be vigilant! Guard over one another! Join forces and win over evil forces! Except death.....

    Can we ever conquer that?......

My Father died today at high noon. Born July 12, 1921. Age: 91. A WWII vet via the U.S. Navy. Served at Glenview Naval Air Base, Glenview, Illinois. Engine mechanic. Although he wasn't much of a father to me, I salute him, others that served, and millions of others who lost their lives. I salute the women who worked in factories to build war machines and supplies. Upright men and women who gave of themselves so we can enjoy the freedom we have today. And, don't forget the civil servants of that day. I salute!

Seems trivial to me to squawk about a new, controversial OS in that light.............
