Hi everyone
in spite of the UK press in particular ( "Daily Wail and Rupert Murdoc's propaganda sheet The Sun) stirring up incidents out of all proportion the matches so far have been really exciting and unpredictable too.
Holland V Denmark where Holland -- one of the favourites lost 1-0 and today Italy V Spain at 1-1 where the amount of football talent on display was just out of this world.
The press should concentrate on the POSITIVES -- forget the stupid "Political Correctness" that we've been enduring the last few yers.
There was a whole slew on the BBC today about how 16 people were arrested for being Drunk and Disorderly
C'mon get real --I can guarantee that in Reykjavík on a typical Saturday night the Police would be more than happy to only have to arrest 14 people -- and it's a really safe city too.
Anyway everybody --enjoy what promises to be a spectacular feast of footie and if there is racist stuff around let the police handle it and don't blow the whole nonsense out of all proportion.
I was in a Brussels bar tonight with supporters from everywhere --including "Eurocrats" from the E.U commission", some"dread locked" jamaicans (celebrating the 11th wicket stand of their team at the 3rd Cricket test match V England), Spanish, Italians, English, French (anticipating the match on Monday) etc and we ALL had a great evening. No trouble whatsoever.
