If you have any errors pertaining to System32 or syswow64 just open an Admin command prompt and type
and let it run through, then reboot and run it again. You may have to run it a few times to get any errors fixed(always reboot after running so windows can repair files that are in use) . If after 3-4 tries they don't get fixed then post a thread in Performance & Maintenance.

Well mostly you are correct except for the "your computer will not work"... Your computer will work rather Windows would crash. The system is still fully operational, just the OS it is running is not working.
