Ok just a nagging thought, but...
What if the partner versions of the OS that have just been
RTM'd with Win 7 are in 7600.16385.090713-1255_x86fre....iso,
BUT,
What if Microsoft ALSO supplies these OEM manufacturers with
a supplementary piece of software that patches a security
configuration in the RTM for OEM release that only the OEM's
have access to.
Which effectively would mean that without this special OEM
patch after install, the software might never be able to achieve
'Genuine' status even with a valid key.
Now wouldn't that suck hugely for all the folks that are now
downloading and installing the OEM RTM OS Release.
