I say the user is the problem from Wikipedia:
Related terms such as PEBCAK (Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard), ID-10T error (idiot error), and other similar phrases are also used as slang in technical circles with derogatory meaning.[1] This usage implies a lack of computer savvy, asserting that problems arising when using a device are the fault of the user. Critics of the term argue that the problems are caused instead by a device that doesn't take into account human limitations and is thus designed in a way that induces errors
Or as my computer teacher Mr. Cotton(the only teachers name I can recall these days) said to us when I was Junior in High School in 1982: "Sh*t in = Sh*t out"

The user is the problem. Constantly trying to perform useless tweaks or playing in the Registry not really knowing what they are doing. What bugs me more is buying a perfectly good Windows 8.1 computer and downgrading it to Windows 7 for which it it was not really designed for. The worst offender is not making any backups whether data or image.

I say the user, the computer is a machine and can't do anything by itself it has to have human input.

This poll is interesting to me, but it doesn't substantively or clearly get at what I'd most like to know in relation to having a desktop start menu and our proclivities to accept Windows 8 in a post-purchase, Windows 8 in-use environment. In conducting this poll, I am trying to get at the...
