Solved what do the gold stars next to my thread mean ?

My Newbie Question thread has a bunch of tiny gold stars next to it.
What are they for ? I know the question is anything but important.

That indicates the average rating that thread has been voted on. When in a thread, members can click on the Rate This Thread toolbar option to vote on how they rate the thread.
