    Smartphone screen size

I just got a Samsung Galaxy S5 G900V, and I love it. It is about 5.1-inch screen and borders on being a phablet, but still fits nicely in my pocket. It did make me wonder though... what is the limit for the practical screen size on a smartphone? Surely much bigger than this 5.1 inch screen would make it cumbersome at best.

I suppose it really depends on the needs of the individual.

I have a Lumia 1520 that has a 6" screen, and it fits fine in my back pocket. Anything larger, and I don't think it would. The larger screen makes it easier to use like a small tablet if needed.

True... for me personally 5.1 inch seems to be about perfect. I have a 12-inch Surface Pro 3 for any tablet needs.

Have heard very good feedbacks about lumia 1520. How is it? WP8 or 8.1?

I have 8.1 on it. So far I like it quite a bit. It's a lot easier to use with a PC since they are both a Windows OS. OneDrive makes it easier to share everything with anything that you have access to OneDrive with.

It's also got a decent battery life.

Oh.. Thank you very much Shawn! Good to hear about the battery backup. Onedrive offers 15gb free for it, isn’t it? Is the phone too heavy to hold considering the 6” form factor? Is it coming with MS powerpoint n office apps preinstalled? Is it better to wait till WP8.1 Update1 + Lumia Denim release in Dec?

Yep, you get all that with it. There's no need to wait unless your carrier doesn't have a sale for it yet. You could use the preview for developers app to update to the latest version now.

I had a 5.5" phone for a while and while the large screen was nice to use the size of the phone was a bit too big. I now have a 5" phone and that seems about perfect. To me the crucial threshold is "can I do most things one-handed?" - I guess your best size somewhat depends on the size of your hands.

I have a new mobile phone also.. this screen size 5.7 , .. cameras front/ back, oh lordy I think I'll never learn all these
features, if I worked on the phone the rest of my life. ( I'm loving this big screen , learning to text, learning speech to text, .. etc. )

It's the Samsung Galaxy Note 3....just arrived 3 days ago so I'm trying to learn how to use it..

ONE thing I really dislike is that on my home page, ( Contacts app,)... contacts have shown up on that app....from my hotmail account ...
I do NOT want those combined... I want ONLY my SIM Card contacts on that Contact APP . for quick access .
