Windows 8.5

  1. #21

Hey, what happened to 8.2, 8.3 and 8.4. Also, they jumped from Windows 8 to Windows 10. Who's numbering these things, anyway.

I looked at my calender and April 1st is five months away.

From Microsoft Bob - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Microsoft Bob was a 1995 Microsoft software product, intended to provide a more user-friendly interface for theWindows 3.1x, Windows 95 and Windows NT operating systems, supplanting the Windows Program Manager. Microsoft Bob presented screens showing a "house", with "rooms" that the user could go to containing familiar objects corresponding to computer applications for instance, a desk with pen and paper, a checkbook, and other items. Clicking on the pen and paper would open the word processor, and so forth. A cartoon dog named Rover and other cartoon characters provided guidance using speech balloons.
The character of the article linked in first post comes quite clear looking the screenshot at the bottom, which is explained as "Our discussion was interrupted abruptly, but we were able to capture the following screenshot of the new Windows 8.5 interface". The screenshot then shows Microsoft Bob from 1995.

I just hope that the current drivers are not broken (Like they did when Microsoft released Windows 8.1 after Windows 8)

else, we would be soon having loads of BSODs....

There was an April 1st about 7 months ago.
