Linux users - What email client(s) are you using

    Hi there

I know we have quite a few Linux users on this Forum -- just wondering what email (client) program(s) are you using or do you still rely on Outlook in Ms office on Windows.

I'm running KMAIL on a KDE desktop both on OPENSUSE and Linux Mint (KDE version).

I'd probably like to get Ms Office to run on Wine -- I believe Office 2010 (32 bit version) can be made to work but it looks a bit daunting - anybody done it yet.

    Cheers

    Hi Jimbo

I'm using Evo (yeah, yeah..) - not perfect but it suits me fine. I do not use Outlook at all anymore.

MS Office runs with PlayOnLinux/Wine AFAIK, seen some negative reports but mostly positive IIRC - haven't used it myself though - would be interested in others' experience, however.

Thunderbird. I tried to use kmail a while back, it just wasn't collecting all my mail. This was back in kde 4.5 days. It may have improved since, but i'm already content with thunderbird.

    Hi there

Kmail HAS improved but I've finally managed to get OUTLOOK 2007 (Ms Office 2007 Enterprise x86) to run perfectly on Wine -- will stick with this now. I'm used to OUTLOOK so It's still in my comfort zone.

I don't like Thunderbird either - already tried it and hated it.

I couldn't get Office 2010 to run properly on Wine but OFFICE 2007 is good enough.

    Cheers
