My grape wine set for 3 months & I just now decanted a gallon of it.

It's sweet & good tasting at room temperature. :)

Using wine yeast helped.

Bread yeast makes wine taste like crap.

I figured it cost about $4 a gallon to make.

Sterilizing everything good prevents it from turning to vinegar.
Wine vinegar is good for salad dressing though. :)

I was bored so I thought I would post my wine experiment.

My grandfather used to make moonshine with his grandfather when he was a little boy so he knows a lot about the whole making beer/whiskey/etc thing. It's always interesting hearing from others their experiences/exploits.

I bought a kit from a company called "Spreckers" or something like that. 1 gallon of concentrate makes 5 gallons of delicious root beer and it was less than $20 for 5 gallons. Not bad! My next batch will be made "from scratch"...

From, the get go..I saw what looked like something I had been needing for my W8 desktop.. that being a START button like
used to come with all Windows versions. I read about it, then decided to download , OH my goodness I'm loving it !!!

I was 10 years old when I made it.
Pretty near 50 years ago.
I do not remember how I made it except it involved yeast, water & some kind of rootbeer product.
Used Coke bottles & a bottle capper.
