    Doing backup :)

    Updated all my drivers.
Now doing a backup of all local drives with Macrium.
With maximum compression that will be about a 17 or 18 GB image.

Let's all take the time to make a system image before we have problems.

Good advice! It's time for my quarterly image backup, stored on the file server.

I make 2 Acronis images and 1 Paragon image (my backup, backup ), every weekend. I keep 4 sets of Acronis images. 2 images and validation takes like 30 minutes. Best insurance there is

Is there something happening since Ive been away? OH NOOOOES Whats happening?

I used Acronis for years and then it started annoying me. I'll have to be honest and say I have found Windows System Images fantastically convenient.

So I do a backup where all my personal files from the libraries get stored onto an external HDD. If I was to create a system image and place this on the external HDD and lets say the computer completely crashed and wasto plug in my HDD would the system restore be able to find the system image on a External HDD? I know seems to be a silly question but I have never completely lost a windows operating system yet (knocking on wood as we speak).

As long as you're still able to boot into safe mode and the image file remains where it was placed without renaming it, I would say, yes.
