Now that my IE11 is working again I can't really argue either. I help out on the BestBuy forums a lot and I will tell you something one of the connectors on there told me once when I mentioned the volume of help topics. He said:

You are right, it can be overwhelming sometimes but you have to consider though that this is a small amount cmopared to the larger picture where there are thousands who either have not reported their problems or don't have any at all.

It got me thinking about it and he was right. The 10-20 or so new help topics is a small amount to work with compared to the thousands that there could be. :geek:

Absolutely true. There are tens of thousands, even millions of us out there that have no problems to speak of. But that's what I like about these forums and places like YouTube. It allows us to help people who are either new or just stuck on a particular problem.

Sure, there are some who are very particular about small things, like the security icon overlay on certain items, but for me it's not about that. It's about having a reliable, fast machine that allows me to do so many things that were just plain impossible years ago.

I'm glad I found another place where I can help people fix their problems and enjoy their rigs as much as I do mine

So, no problems here either!!!

server2012.jpg

8 Server desktops.

sdesk.jpg

81 has eliminated start screen tile color randomization shuffling
81 has blocked charms colorization in default themes
81 blocks auto placement of installed tiles
81 creates unneeded "new" highlights
81 eliminates customized tile row counts
81 multi monitor ie zoom nag
81 has eliminated multi tick start tile unpinning without the Ctrl key
81 requires access to apps screen to get full screen results
81 uses start screen right panel results
... prefer 8.0 / server 2012 style start screen hotkey full screen results
... prefer this (bottom right corner)

aa1a.jpg

1) don't need shut down on the start screen or win X

4) don't need edge disabling
5) don't need a desktop start menu
6) don't need apps screen defaulted to winkey
7) don't need close X on metro apps
8) don't need closing metro apps to the desktop
9) don't need metro apps pinned to the taskbar
10) don't need start tile context list
11) don't need live tiles
12) don't need a taskbar win flag
13) don't need online integration / sync

prefer ie 10

Server 2012 Standard uses nt 62 same as Windows 80
81 and 811 use nt 63 / Server 2012 R2

Will continue with Server Standard 2012 and 8.0.

I don't have an Xbox, a Windows Phone, a Surface,
a Microsoft Office cloud subscription,
don't have metro mail services that use notifications,
don't use wifi, blue tooth, touch or virtual systems at all.

... don't need onedrive, skype, social media or notifications,
don't need pens, embedded cameras, gesturing, translators or integrated online search.
Don't need an eco system, or multi device sync integration.

Server 2012 Standard / 8.0 (nt 6.2) will be used going forward.
Not going mobile, subscriptive, or eco compliant.

Server 2012
