Along with 2 Windows 8 machines and one Windows 7 machine, I have 3 Mac PPC's including a Dual G5 Titanium Tower with Cinematic Display, it's a great Museum Piece.

I control the whole network with my iPhone and iPad Mini, while I ma sitting on one workstation, I can instigate a job on another using either remotes or Skyjos FileExplorer. It's the best app in the whole store, the In-App Upgrade was only 99 cents, it's more if you buy the Pro version outright.

I never get the "Intel White-Out" on any of the Motorola Risc-Based PPC's, on Intel Mac's I get as many White-Outs as I get on my Core Duo machine.

I assure you it just needs some new parts. I really prefer it over Windows.

Heard of it, maybe not - But I'm sure you've SEEN it - It when you are in a program, it stalls, and the whole Program Screen Whites out, that sound familiar? Sometimes it expands to include the whole Desktop. I was getting it yesterday a lot, because I had errors on my hard drive and it was stalling up running programs. It happens on Windows Vistpoop, 7 and 8 mostly on Intel machines, although it is not strictly limited to Intel, some AMDs do it too. And Intel Macs do it as well. PPCs do not do it.

I have heard that Apple is gong back to the Motorola Chips.

I setup the Display Menu app yesterday on my MacBook Pro so that I can actually run 2560x1600. I've decided to leave it at the scaled 1680x1050 as that is a little more eye friendly.

Got Dropbox going, got my Amazon Cloud player going, got AirPlay going to my Marantz receiver and I have my Windows shared printer working. All in all, making decent progress.

I presently have a 2007 Mac Mini running Windows 7. This little runt just refuses to die! I switched back to Windows after using Macs for 13 years (mostly Mac Pros). It was like being released from a jail that I didn't even know I was living in.

IS that a Desktop Box or is it one of those systems that's AIO, like an iMac or an eMac? I do that a lot too, I love Bootcamp, it's the best thing Apple has ever done, I wish Microsoft would extend their hand that way, and set up a way we can install MACOS onto a PC.

As much as I like the Windows Desktop, and I'm very familiar with the system and I know how to get all kinds of jobs done, I love getting on my Titanium Tower and messing around with OSX 10.5.8, I wish I could do Bootcamp on the G5 but it's Motorola cna can't do it, btu I have a Huge Cinematic Display, I know it is larger than 21" - I had a 21" Spectre WS Monitor I got on sale for 150, I sold it for 150 too haha- I didn't need it, I got a 42" TV.

I am the opposite though, I feel a freedom when I get on MACOS, but only cos I am not that familiar with it, familiar enough to repair em when I need to.

I tried to get a screenshot of that "White-Out" event, I'll see if I have it... Found it! This was the VERY last thing I did on Windows 8 on this PC, I went back to my Windows 7 Partition!

apple needs to extent themselves out a bit more because they will NEVER allow mac os to be ever used on a non-mac PC. EVER. The ONLY way is to do a hackintosh type setup, but even then...

I feel the opposite, if I can't change window/accent colors, have 50/50 window app snap, a decent File Explorer, and be able to deploy custom images with decent amounts of ease I'm lost. I can't even use mac os PURELY because of the lack of window snapping, that will get annoying REAL quick. It just feels too constricting for my tastes and honestly seems like it's stuck in the year 2006.

The Mac Mini is basically an all-in-one without a screen. It's Apple's cheapest computer.

I like using Windows more and the sky's the limit with respect to hardware on the Windows side. After the introduction of the trashcan Mac Pro, that was it for me.

I have now tried twice to upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. Each time I have got to (what I thought would be) the final screen only to have it tell me that "something went wrong" (no error code!) - please restart the installation. Guess it didn't make any spark of discussion yesterday, but apple released their ipad mini (ipod touch x 2) a new ipad 4 that is a mild to little improvement of the last one plus an apple mini-USB connector (Lightning port) as well as a new imac AIO, which wouldn't be worthwhile or from apple if it...
