I just bought a Sandisk Ultra 16GB and an Ultra 32GB SD card, 30.MB/s. The 16 was 20 bucks off and the 32 was 30 bucks off. The only down side is my laptop won't boot from the SD card slot. I was hoping to be able to install Windows from an SD card. I didn't need a Micro card so I went with a normal SD card.

The original specs for my Samsung tablet showed support for up to a 32GB card; when the Android 'Jelly Bean' update came through it commenced to support 64GB cards, which I'm using now.
    Maybe with the next update......?!?!?!

(I'd hate to shell out 200 bucks to find out I was wrong though! )

And they say the consumer market is quite a bit behind the military, so it kinda makes you wonder what technology is out there that we don't know about yet.

Yes, it is ! At least with an adapter I would be able to use it as a kind of external drive in my computers untilll I get a Windows 8.1 Phone, that I suppose will be able to handle such cards

The problem with these itty bitty devices is that they are really difficult to handle. I always have to ask the wife to handle the MicroSD cards in the tablets and phone. And the SIM cards are even worse.

LOL, I know what you mean. I've gotta get in there with the stylus just to eject the micro SD card out of it's slot!

A Desktop and touch interface. OK, the arguments are there that touch and Desktop DO NOT GO TOGETHER. There's the other argument that Windows 8 is covering too much ground and will loose too many users as it doesn't know what it is. A tablet and a Windows Desktop based operating system do not mix....
