What a match! Too bad Djokovic won, Nadal in my opinion is the better player.

I am an avid tennis fan and to watch this transition in the mens singles over the past 8 years is amazing. I still feel Feder is the best ever player to-date, followed by Jokovic, Nadal and Sampras. The stamina of the newer players is phenomenal. And, it just keeps getting better. In Sampras's era, his serve was just too powerful and the rest of his game was classic style and nearly flawless. Now with the open stance power-houses with two handed backhands, Jokovic and Nadal will be on top. And to think that more powerful players with more finesse will start appearing in a few years. Mind boggling! IMHO the tennis player of today is a superiors athlete over any other sport.

I missed the live finals but caugh the highlights on the Internet. Over 5 hours on asphalt! Asphalt is so tough on the knees. I am hoping the national tennis association will promote clay courts or artificial grass as being mandatory in all tennis facilities around the world. Avid amatuer competitors will enjoy a much longer and healther life if we can play tennis four times a week from age 30 to 100 without worrying about our knee joints getting worn out on hard courts. I know when I play tennis on clay I feel very little stress in my knees and lower back. I could play five days in a row on clay. Asphalt, 90 minutes and I feel the impact on my 58 yearr old joints for three days!
