Windows 8’s current uptake remains rather slow, but it appears that Microsoft manages to sign major deals with authorities across the world every once in a while.

This time, the Scottish government has decided to go for Windows 8 when it comes to tablets for its staff, with workers to be allowed to choose from Samsung Series 7 Slate, the Dell Latitude 10 and the Samsung ATIV.

Hi there.

It didn't do Scotland any good in the World cup qualifiers though (Brazil 2014) -- We've (Iceland) qualified for the playoff's at least and if we make it we could be the smallest country EVER to make it to a major world sports competition -- our population is around 10 times smaller than that of Scotland (but I'll bet we drink 10 times as much Scotch as they do in Scotland -- certainly by head of population - - but please only lovely single Malt --Lovely smokey peaty taste from Islay such as Lagavulin --expensive but worth EVERY eurocent. !!!).

Islay Whiskies

Cheers guys - and better luck next time -- at least your exports are strong !!! (as I know to my cost).
