Hi there
While I (in common with a lot of people) do not particularly like or want TOUCH screens, however 3-D (even with those stupid glasses -- and that technology will change soon so the glasses won't be needed anymore) laptop screens and monitors (as well as proper 3-D applications) seem as rare as hens teeth.
Now while 3-D experience at a movie theatre is on the whole a disappointing experience --probably due to most of the available films being shown are IMO a load of JUNK - at home on your own computer in comfortable surroundings this could turn out to be a much more pleasant exercise.
Current Browser technology also seems to have NO indication of when it might build in 3-D support for media playing or streaming either.
I'm sure the Movie industry would do much better testing this stuff out on an Internet streaming platform than virtually KILLING the whole technology with Rubbish movies that turns people off the whole idea.
However the Movie industry still doesn't understand decent technology -- if it weren't for some "dubious sites" we'd probably still be watching movies in 16mm FILM !! or putting up with DVD's riddled with totally BOVINE DRM.
I'd love to be able to have REAL 3-D representation of CAD drawings --REAL 3-D not "exploded 3-D views" displayed on a 2-D screen as well as 3-D photos via photoshop etc and can think of loads of others -- sports for example make good 3-D viewing.
Cheers
