    Ubuntu edge - crowdfunding surprise

It is a big pledge for those who want the product. More than I expected , I was thinking 299 / $450 It is also possible to contribute a few bucks.

    Ubuntu Edge | Indiegogo

Interesting to see how this goes, funds seem to be coming in at quite a rate, $4.5m already. They are looking for $32m

They are setting crowdfunding records. An exciting glimpse of the future. A real pc that is a phone.

That is one smart looking device. NICE. Good Price too.

Yeah, takes a while for the credit card pledges to get thru.

    Ubuntu will honour them all.

I hope they are able to make all of the systems ordered! Have you bought one, you will HAVE to post images of it when you get it!

If I didn't have to spend that much to fix my truck, I'd buy one of the mroe expensive ones!

    Over $5m now.

Mike Mace was saying recently he thought there was a space for a new kind of pc. He didn't think any of the usual suspects would be up for it. He reckoned a new entrant/startup was a possibility. The problem is the massive funding required.

Now here is Shutters really going for it. Inspiring.

The 'Edge' looks pretty good. Specs might change but they begin good as well.
