A person just started work at my office and has a Windows 8 phone. First one I've ever seen in the wild.

And on a funny side note, we just ordered an employee a blackberry z10.

Had one for about 7 months (nokia 920). At first I really liked it, then I started to find the lack of apps that I needed. As time went on I began hating it more and more lol. Traded it to my mother in law for her upgrade and got a Note 2.

For folks like her and my Wife it is the perfect phone. Takes great pics and is easy to use. They don't need VPN, teamviewer,or Square CC reader.

Just my take on them though. ..

You should feel privileged to actually see one though, other than my wife's and my old one I haven't seen any others.

Geeve

Hope I get on with it OK I'm going to be getting one sometime next week. I'm with Vodafone on Pay-as-you-Go and I've been putting £10 a month by buying a Freedom Freebie pack which gave me so many minutes talk and so many texts plus Internet access. Got a call from them and for just a couple of pound more a month and for a bit more time and text, Internet etc. I'll get a free phone with the deal, I'll be getting a Nokia 520 Windows 8 phone.

I've been used to Android phones so this will be a new adventure for me, at least I'm used to using Windows 8 so that wont be a surprise.

A friend bought a Nokia Lumia W8 phone last week.

I haven't had a chance to have a play with it yet, tho.

Well I like mine, so far anyway, and it does take good photo's plus I can actually receive them now. My other Android phones I had problems whenever my daughter sent me photo's I could never get them it would always tell me there were Network problems but since I got this new phone there's been no problems I've got all the MMS texts she's sent me.

Of course I've not had it long enough yet to know if it will be missing anything I really need, time will tell. ;)
