I was at Winterland when he recorded this album, (was but a wee lad ). He wasn't a big star then, but it was a great show, and of course when the album came out...

You lucky Dog! I wish I could say that! I was mid-twenties. This album put a lot together. The talent, the tech, the musical genius! And classic rock was a little "dry" during the disco mid-seventies. This album was like reaching an oasis. Frampton probably influenced a lot of the 80's guitarists too. What a player!

I was lucky enough to grow up during the 70's and early 80's. Since Bill Graham was local, we got all the great shows. We, err, recreated a bit so some blend, but several stand out.

Pink Floyd in 1977. Led Zeppelin that same year. Thin Lizzy at the Old Waldorf. Robin Trower at Winterland. The Sex Pistols at Winterland (turned out to be their last show). Many of the Days on the green

Including Frampton again and Lynyrd Skynyrd's last concert tour before the plane crash, on the 4th of July.

Day On The Green #4 & 5: Peter Frampton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Santana, Outlaws (July 2 & 4, 1977)
