Hi there
Not sure whether this will interest the market at all however makes a decent read.

BBC News - Computex: Windows-Android hybrids and phablets launch

But when reading ignore rubbish spouted by GARTNER in the article --how is it people still BELIEVE anything that organisation says. Their forecasts are WORSE than you might get by Random Guessing.

Cheers

I find the most idiotic flop out there is the ASUS Transformer Book Trio. It's a Windows PC that can go from being connected to an external monitor as they keyboard portion houses an Intel i7 and be used like a desktop with Windows 8. Ok. Then the keyboard then can be used together with the other portion, the touchscreen, and be used with Windows 8 and then maybe android ICS as well. Ok? Then you can take the keyboard off and use it as a tablet, BUT, it goes to android ICS. Umm...what in the blue hell were they thinking? Windows 8 is exceptional for use on a tablet, but when you use it as simply a tablet, it doesn't stay on Windows 8? The Windows operating system that was in part DESIGNED and OPTIMIZED for tablet PCs?

Or am I the only one that fails to see the logic in this?

Asus Transformer Book Trio is tablet, laptop and desktop rolled into one - Computerworld

Yeah, I don't get that Android/Windows transformer gismo? I could maybe see it revert to an RT device when detached and 8 when docked but Android? The premise I guess is full powered PC like device when docked and battery friendly low power tablet when undocked. Either way it kind of sounds like a pain in the but when you detach and have to reboot into a different OS.
