That's your mistake, Bluestacks is not a start button replacement.

Exactly why 10 million downloads mean little if many people download to try it, but don't actually really use it. And, they're downloading it for multiple machines.

This doesn't speak for the volumes of users that haven't downloaded a start button and don't care, such as myself.

I don't understand your point, we're talking about start menu replacements, quite a different issue to running Android on Windows.

And your argument is like Microsoft saying it's sold 100 million licences, yet won't say how many of those are for PCs languishing with OEMs waiting to be installed, sitting OEM in warehouses in devices not shipped, sitting in shop shelves waiting to be sold, or sitting in people's homes unused as they've reverted back to Windows 7.

Exactly. One matters as much as the other. Same can be said of the million times people have downloaded a start button for two or three machines, for previews, virtual boxes, or other builds for testing and review purposes. Who knows?

I downloaded it. I also removed it. I also downloaded Modern Mix on both machines and removed it too.

    I like my build vanilla.

10%...??? Closer to 25% minimum I would say. The 8 million only counts start8 and pokki. Add in classic shell's 10 million downloads, then factor in all the others, and there's dozens, and you get a much more realistic number.....
    I downloaded Bluestacks 4 times.
Bluestacks....??? Not really sure how that is relevant to this thread...

    Funny thread.

    Consider this:

Your target market consists of 10 individuals.

You find out 2 love the product, 3 think it's okayish. 5 don't like it at all.

    What do you do?

Do you say great 5 will buy it - I don't care about the others. You have just cut your potential sales in half.

Or do you say - no need to worry about the 5 positives. I have to listen to other 5 and try to fix the reason(s) they will not buy it.

    Gee, that's a hard one.
