Thank you all for the very gracious thoughts, prayers and words of support, they do mean a lot to me. We just spent the afternoon making arrangements at the local funeral home (Molnar Funeral Home in Brownstown, MI) and it's never easy to go through that.

Please do your family a huge favor and make your funeral/burial/memorial service wishes known (in writing), down to the littlest detail... That way the family will know what you wanted and will not have to make the tough decisions (how much $ to spend on the casket and vault, etc...). Your family will thank you for this but you'll be gone... Just take the time and do this for them, PLEASE. Also remember that a funeral will cost $10-15k, without adding the cost of a burial plot. Make arrangements, if you can do so... and help your family out. Losing a loved one is tough enough without adding the financial stuff and decisions that have to be made while everyone is in such an emotional state... my rant for the day... Thanks!
