Very cool! Thanks for posting, Jarkata.

A lot of good changes. More functions being moved over to the Modern/Metro side. Moving more away from the traditional Windows assuring us that MS is moving more into the direction of a familiar system across multiple devices. I think it to be an ingenious idea.

The best change to me is more options of snapping. I thought they would go more into the multipane direction dividing by quarters and so on, but it's more of the side by side. Nonetheless, one can open more apps.

I noticed the presenter was using a touch monitor to pretty much "fly" around with navigation. Although I've only tinkered with 8 via touch screens in stores, I think it to be the fastest way of navigation once one learns the system. Proving all the more that touch centric is the correct direction to go. Of course it will work just as well with other methods of input.

    Thanks again for posting.

Nice overview of the many changes. Thanks for sharing it. I also think it gives a good feel of where MSFT is going, re: away from the desktop.

FINALLY! The Desktop is the whole reason why Windows gets flack is due to the win32 code of the Desktop that can end up causing issues down the road. The WinRT app model prevents that.

I'm looking forward to Blue because almost EVERYTHING that I wanted to see improved in Windows 8 is actually being done in Blue. It's like Microsoft really understands me!!

I have not seen a single improvement for the desktop - or did I miss it. So why bother.

WinRT is still 32bit (aware) even if it's no win32 code AND it's pretty new code that will more likely contain new bugs. That's the main reason why the desktop is more stable because it has been through many iterations and fixes, Metro just began the cycle: I hope all goes well since I'm also curious on the new changes so far.

    Cheers
