After 4 months of Windows 8. I think I hate it!

I have had Windows 8 for 4 months now and have it on 2 laptops and 1 PC. The thing is I am not complaining about the way it looks and feels it's the problems I get from just using the damn thing. I have had to do several system restores and about 8 re-installs. All because of faults that just keep going on and on. At the moment I can't log into my user acc on this laptop. Just the other day on the PC my wife could not login to it as the user had disappeared. My other laptop has been sent back to manufacturers after several faults were found after doing a re-install. I have never had so many problems with and OS.
Other things include not using the Start screen at all. I wish all you out there who enjoy windows 8 'luck' as I cannot understand why I am wasting all my time on an OS.

I guess they should have named it Start Scream 8.

I agree that Windows 8 seems to be very error prone with updates, settings changes, and problems with drivers especially display. Never had this much difficulty with keeping an OS functioning before.

Seems odd that 8 would cause that much issue, I've yet to actually come across something like that. Windows 8 is a beast when it comes to driver support and sorting issues out. I swapped a hard drive of mine running 8 from my desktop to a touchscreen AIO, booted up in about a minute, got EVERYTHING working, and by time I swiped off the lock screen to enter in my picture password, the screen resolution went to its native state of 1600x900. This happened in about a minute, I was thoroughly surprised.

Mainly my problems with Win 8 Pro came from outdated drivers.
Updated 12 drivers & everything runs good now.

Are most of these problems because people have put the new OS onto old hardware ?

I've yet to see any of these problems but then my machine came new with Windows 8 as the installed OS. I'm not saying there isn't a learning curve to it but as it's new there's bound to be but I find that's the fun part of each new OS, it wouldn't be new if it was just like the one before.
