My granddaughter who is 9 had to write a report for school. She had to ask someone that was much older then herself, an older adult, questions about what they liked doing as a child. For obvious reasons she asked me.
One of the questions was " how did you communicate with your friends when you were a teenager"
I told her we talked on the phone. She said: You had phones then?"
I laughed so hard and told her, yes we did but they were not wireless. The phone went quiet for a minute and she said " you sure you are not teasing me?" My husband grabbed the phone and told her, yea the dinosaurs outside worked them for us,,lol
    Go figure!

    Wow! That's so interesting.

It makes me think when my twoish year old niece is that age, I might tell her that we used to use things called mice to use a computer. I bet she'll give me a weird look and think we used rodents to operate a PC!

Interesting. I am in the middle of watching Star Trek: Voyager all seven seasons. There have been several times where they show a scene with an LARCARS display in the background and I notice the image on the display resembles the Windows 8 Metro screen. Coincidence?
