Two Acer laptops.

An Aspire 'Ethos' AS8951G ' desktop replacement' (main machine, Win 8 Pro/WMC 64-bit), and an AS5735 (Win 7 Ultimate 32-bit).

My desktop 'work-horse' P4 is also an Acer (SA10 2.8Ghz).

Never had an issue with an Acer machine, apart from a T310 P4 which had a dodgy DVD-burner in it from new. A call to their customer
service, an 80km drive (which I had to do anyway), dropped it off at their service center and the dead drive was replaced under warranty
and machine was ready to be picked up two hours later.

No prizes for guessing that my next machine will probably also be an Acer. Why change if you're happy?

Dell user here (Precision line). Switched this year after being an Apple user for about 13 years: the reverse switch!

I must say that I did this switch with great trepidation, even after running Win 7 virtually under OS X with no problems for 2 years. So far it has been a great experience both software- and hardware-wise. Why switch? I use mostly Windows software and I got irritated by Apple's hardware limitations (for my uses). I also started disliking the direction OS X seemed to be moving in.

I think only admins can edit polls. You could possibly make a request though.

And while you're at it, add an "other" field, and take out Gateway and Compaq (they are owned by Acer and HP, respectively and are both just a brand if anything)

New Dell Inspiron 17R i3 3rd gen W8. Hey my new Bluetooth mouse just showed up tonight, it connected right up to the 17R and is working perfect. My goal was to turn the Inspiron into a mobile guitar studio and it runs all of my guitar sw. I was a little worried with W8 but everything went pretty smooth, asio4all drivers with Guitar Rig 5, and Guitar Pro 6, along with Amplitube all work perfect in W8. Heck I even got Rocksmith to play nice on this laptop so all in all it did what it was supposed to do and then some. Very impressive little laptop indeed, and it got me in on the 14.99 W8 Pro deal plus the free MCE pack. I like W8 but don't use Metro at all, using StartisBack get's me down to business without having to muck around. It all fits nicely in my guitar bag except the bass.

Hey Smurf, the Inspiron looks great: thanks for the pics! Thanks for the info about the AISO4All drivers: I haven't loaded them yet but intend to at some point. Yeah, I don't see the Metro side much either. :D
