Very disappointed...

I've always had good luck with eBay except once. I bought a 32GB SDHC card from a guy in GB. Paid about $35 or so for it up-front. The card arrived and turned out to be a bad one. He promised to send another one to replace it. I sent multiple messages to him and he simply disappeared so I was out $35. I don't miss the money - it's no big deal to me, financially but, as you said - the guy sold out his integrity over a $35 memory card. I never did get it how people could do that.

Yes, I know what you mean. My integrity is worth more to me than quite a bit of $ and it's disappointing to find out there are others who don't value their integrity... The good news is that the good guys far outnumber the bad guys...

This is what a lot of people forget.

I have been ripped off two or three times online for small amounts of money, but I have found a multitude of helpful, honest and truely amazing people who over compensate for the few.

Just like real life in many ways.

    Keep the faith.

Thanks! I will... I just wish that I would have given the board to someone here who would have appreciated it. Lots of great people here who have helped me out far more than I can help them... but I'll keep trying to do what I can!

Hi, I'm really sorry someone was a cheat on your good faith by sending your free gift to them. I recall the old trueism"What goes around, will come around in time "....so hope that little comment will give you hope....lol... he too shall have to live with his ill gotten motherboard ,....when his time arrives, his dealing with a future loss... similar to what he did to you.

Thanks! I don't let things like this bother me at all, I'm just disappointed that I wasn't able to give the motherboard to someone who would appreciate it. I'll be more careful in the future, but I'll still trust most people...

    Wow, this was unexpected...

Remember the motherboard I sent to a guy here from the forums that was in the UK and I asked that he only pay for shipping ($24 USD) and I never heard anything back? Well, it turns out that the package was never picked up and it was returned to me today... I may use the board, after all... but if I decide not to use it, I'll let you guys know. It's an older board, but I have a "spare" Q6600 CPU and DDR2 RAM that would work with this... Maybe I'll use this as the board for the young man's PC that I'm saving up parts for? We'll see... I hope nothing bad happened to the guy...

Looks like the motherboard heatsink is missing a fan. I hope I can find one that fits!

I never deal over the net for more than I am willing to loose. With that philosophy I have only been taken once (Some guy in the UK). He then thumbed his nose over it on the forum involved in front of the entire group on the board. I simply reminded him that he would be rewarded one day.

I've done many deals over forums with some common sense and have done well - most people have a basic honesty, while some -- well not so much. Actually I've had three problems on Ebay with crooks - go figure.

    That's great news Art.

The package may of had a duty charge from customs that he didn't want to pay and just left it.

I use Windows Media Centre on a 50 inch plasma in my living room. Win7 isn't geared up for it as there's no GUI for viewing from a distance. I set my text size to 200% and that just about does it. Anyway, after installing Win8, I was pretty pissed off to find Metro was small, with small text...
