If you go into Facebook and look at Account Settings and then select Apps on the right hand side, are there any Apps listed in Facebook that you don't recognise?

Alternatively, from the Windows 8 end, What happens if you:
    • Go to the Photos app
    • Use <Windows>+<i> short cut to bring up Settings
    • Look at 'Options'

It should give you some information on which account it's using, and also some further options for Facebook and Flickr. Hopefully this will give you info to switch it off.

Incidentally I also use different accounts but none of my Facebook photos are there in Photos within W8.

Nope, no unrecognized apps. But like I said, I never signed into Facebook while using Windows 8.

Looks like Windows 8 is using my Facebook account that I use with Gmail. I never signed into either Gamil or Facebook so Windows 8 should not be allowed to access Facebook.

    Very creepy, not cool.

Did you look at the settings in the Windows Photos app?

Yes, it has my Facebook account listed and active. I do not recall giving my Facebook password to Windows 8.

You should be able to switch it off from there then?

I wonder if you entered your Microsoft email address into Facebook as a secondary email address? (Facebook is forever nagging me to do things like this.)

If information which you entered into Facebook is being accessed elsewhere without your permission, then it's Facebook who are at fault, not Microsoft.

Nope, I have no secondary email account on Facebook. I could turn it off in Windows 8. Just the fact this happened is a big red flag.
