Ah! To be young again! At my age the mind says yes, but the body says a big no. :(

I made it around an old Century ski boat 2-1/2 times once in my hay day back in the early 70's. I saw it performed at a ski show and thought I'd give it a try. Got 'er done as we say. :D

Did a fair amount of snow skitching behind cars which is quite risky if one is not careful. I don't know if this is practiced elsewhere, but it was a popular American sport at one time. Probably not so much anymore due to the plastic car bumpers of today. One could hold onto the old chrome ones. As many as six of us would give it a go.

Lol! I find it not too risky sitting behind my PC these days. Walking and hiking is the biggest risk I'll take.

Oh man does that bring back the memories! :D Of course in those days, no chemicals were used on the city streets so you could go for a "free ride" as long as you could hang on. :p

Ham radio now includes a number of digital modes. Morse code requirement dropped in the US. RTTY, radio teletype, is done via computer now. Ham radio still provides assistance in times of disasters. So, not 1970s. Never hitched rides on a bumper, too dangerous.
