Windows 8.1 Pro x64 Media Center Edition

I'm using K-Lite Codec Pack in combination with Windows Media Player. This way it will playback every source of video and audio available in the market. Have been using this since 2007 and it never let me down.

As for DVD playback I have a licence for the Nero Burning ROM suite. It contains a DVD playback software. Don't use it very much, most of the time I copy the DVD to my HDD and stream it to the television .

I own Nero, too. I installed it Friday and I just need some time to play with it in Win8.

    Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 32 bit/ Windows 8.1 64 bit

I was right it is PowerDVD 10 I have, it came with the Notebook by Asus. I requested a license key from Microsoft for Media Player but as I only have the basic Windows 8 that came with it can't use it.

Mind you I did download the Microsoft Live Essentials pack and that includes Media Player. I don't think it's worth me upgrading to Pro so I can use the key, I can play DVDs I can play TV programs via Sky Go so I don't think I need to.

I've got a bit of time yet to make my mind up.
