I keep mine clean and minimal. I also love to backpack. The lake is in the central Cascade Mountains of Oregon.

I've been setting up my OEM edition of 8 Pro these past two days. With the Start Screen I can be a minimalist with the desktop. I let Bing change my desktop background daily as I did in 7. One can use the "bing" on the left of the Bing bar to open IE, so no need for IE icon. WinKey/E for File Explorer. Don't need no stinkin' icons cluttering up my daily picture!

Look at these two hairy creatures for today. Happy Ground Hog Day everyone!

I bought a DVD of the movie Forbidden Planet a year or so ago. The second DVD had scenes from the special effects work. Like the space ship landings and Robby moving across the landscape in that car he drove.

I use screenshots from Everquest MMO and lots of photos from Astronomy Picture of the Day web site for backgrounds.

I don't know what to call the old desktop since the tile version is called Metro. But when working on the old desktop version and you want to clear everything off the screen and just view the desktop, where is the button for this? XP had this button, but cant find it on W8.
