Because it's a laptop, you cant upgrade the gfx. You must buy a new one.

Not on the ASUS X54C, dedicated mobile graphics cards are typically reserved for the higher end laptop or gaming laptop.

    for gb i meant ram
Intel 3000 graphics is more than fine for Windows 8, unless if you want to do serious Photoshopping or 3D modeling. Even then, it'll be fine. But for the RAM, I have to wonder, what makes you want to add more RAM? Unless you have a solid state drive, I don't think two extra gigs will do too much to improve performance. Now a SSD, THAT will REALLY improve performance for Windows 8!
I need the ram upgrade for shool, they need 8 gb , and for grpahic i mean its a information security program s its going t go through rough jobs, but like for the upgrade im not sure how to acytually do i, i dont want to be spending to much with a computer specialist for a job i could do at home
    Hmmm...

You can pretty easily upgrade the RAM, just all you need to buy is a four gig DDR3 laptop RAM stick. The part about many ASUS laptops I enjoy is that to access the system parts, it will only take a few screws and you slide off the bottom panel. Not too difficult, you can even go on YouTube probably and watch a few videos on that.

As for the graphics, I probably wouldn't fret over that unless the program ABSOLUTELY demands OpenGL 4.1, 3.3, and DirectX 11. Those are the features of the graphics chip itself, something you can't upgrade. On your particular laptop, you won't be able to upgrade the graphics chip.

That's odd, my budget-Notebook using Radeon 6320 HD supported DX11 and OpenGL 4.0.

That's the difference between Intel and AMD, you can get a powerful graphics chip for less in a laptop (sometimes dedicated in dual Radeon graphics if the laptop has an APU) versus Intel's pricier graphic, which are more impotent.
