If that is from Best Buy, you most likely needed to be in line. My Best Buy has had people camping out since Tuesday. We dove by last night and there were no fewer than 15 tents pitched.

Using it right now, and the touchpad built in makes 8 much more usable, as I never used 8 with a touchscreen. Hopefully, I know what I want for Christmas... touch screens!

No problems, keeping the thread up in case... few things to add about the laptop...
There is no product key, and it activates through something. (BIOS?)
uEFI is used and has no BIOS set at default.
The Windows Store has a new section called ASUS picks and is a tweaked edition of 8.
Windows 8 comes preinstalled with Adobe Reader X, no need to purchase.
So, all in all, pretty nice laptop. uEFI will get on my nerves, though...

Oh yeah, OEMs have their selection of apps for Windows 8 that they seem to like and usually have preinstalled. HP has their apps that they've made as well apps like Fresh Paint to show off the touch capabilities. Others just seem to take the best rated relevant apps. Guess it's like their little slice of the Windows Store pie.

The first thing I got rid of with my Asus was the Adobe Reader and installed Foxit, another was McAffee that went the same way, have Windows Defender, as MSE is now called.
