I'm sorry, but I don't know where you get the notion that Microsoft fanboys are like apple fanboys. Let me clear this up, I have more dollars in my wallet than reasons to buy the latest Microsoft related product, whereas apple fanboys have more reasons and excuses than dollars in their wallets to wait in line for 12 hours to buy the latest apple product.

This is the phone without doubt I WILL buy (emphasis on future), but being able to use it for a good two weeks to learn personally the Windows Phone 8 OS and to use the OIS PureView camera, and to pet it and love it, you don't say no to that ESPECIALLY when it's free!

And I haven't bought it because I just left att, as much as I enjoy a good highway robbery every month, I do not like having that done unto my person. Bills are WAY too high to justify. And then there's going the prepaid route, I need about 700 dollars for an unlocked Lumia 920, this requires months of saving and planning and budgeting so I don't become that apple fanboy, more reasons and excuses than dollars in my wallet.

At least with Apple fans, they go on and on and on about how fabulous their products are and they actually own and use them. In your case, you harp, preach, and evangelicalize these MS products but yet it seems in quite a number of areas, you don't actually own them, or haven't paid for them, etc.

It's like people that bag on open source projects like "The Gimp" or "Open Office" and say they are crap....and that Photoshop and MS Office blow them out of the water. But then you discover that they haven't paid $600 for their copy of Photoshop, but instead ganked it from The Pirate Bay. I wonder if these people would find "the gimp" completely unusable for their editing if they actually had to pay $600 for Photoshop. I suspect many might actually give "the gimp" a second look when it came down to actually outlaying cash.

I understand your point, however when you hype a product as much as you have on the 920, and when you belittle all of the competing products and say they are nowhere near the device that the 920 is, it seems rather comical that you don't actually own the 920, haven't paid for the 920 and "WILL" someday buy one. Some might see this as just a bunch of talk with nothing to really back it up.

It is important to make good fiscal decisions, no doubt about that. Phones for me are not as big of an issue because being in IT guy means I'm on call 24x7 and my company pays for my phone and my plan. It's got it's plusses and it's minuses.

Oh Lord Jesus! The trial Lumia 920 just came in this morning! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I POOP THE BED!!!!

So far, I'm considering proposing marriage to it.

pparks, I see where you're coming from, but I have to say is that even though I personally don't have such products, I DO on the other, have used them. For example, touch PCs, I spent a couple days at the Amazon Showroom for a few hours playing with ALL of them to see how it's like to physically interact with different touch form factors. Last month, I went on a Windows Phone tour and toyed around with every Windows Phone on display. So instead of being hot air, I ACTUALLY know what I speaketh of and praise of. I also have personally used other related products, and I can sure as balls tell you what I believe to be is correct is.

I am still loving mine as well. Better than my iPhone, Better than my droid (even with ICS and JB Roms) My only gripe is that Hulu+ hasn't been released yet. According to the emails I had with them, it is coming very soon though.

Indeed - their Windows app supports Windows RT, so I'm hoping Windows Phone 8 support won't be far behind.

Oh boy! I went to Verizon today as they have some Nokia toys, like the JBL speaker and wireless charging pad on display, SO cool!

NFC is so cool! It's like witchcraft!

I've been putting the super sensitive touch display though the motions, I'm still trying to understand how it works, but it works pretty great with my driving gloves, no need to buy dumb iGloves.

I have to day, after using Windows Phone 8 for a day, I'm already sold! Definitely makes the upgrade worthwhile!

But my gear grinder by far isn't totally with Windows Phone 8, it's actually with Windows 8 and Xbox Music on it. You see, the live tile alone on Windows Phone 8 is WWWWAAAAYYYYY nicer and more alive than on Windows! I'll post a screenshot later. This pretty much backs up my original thoughts about it, Xbox Music on the Phone is a better job at replacing Zune and Xbox Music on the PC is.
