BSOD: Kernel Data Inpage Error, Process 1 Initialization

Hi, my laptop (an Asus UX501, with Windows 8.1 installed) has been encountering bluescreens recently.

Kernel data in page error:

This error usually occurs after starting up the laptop, even without me doing anything. Often after encountering this error, when the system is rebooting, Process 1 Initialization fail will occur as well and kick me to the BIOS screen. Discarding changes and exit will lead me back to the BIOS screen, and the only way to exit is by saving changes. The laptop usually will not encounter further issues after doing so.

Help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, thanks for your reply!
I am having some trouble with the Seagate DOS tool though, I have saved it to a USB drive and my BIOS screen recognizes it as a boot option, however it is not running the DOS tool.

Attached are my HD Tune results. Sorry for not having pictorial evidence of the error scan, the window size shrunk mysteriously during the scan and I was not able to obtain a full screenshot (the window can't be resized). I have included those results in text form along with the other results.

Edit: Attached chkdsk results

I would suggest to replace the hard drive and make a backup beforehand.

Hello, thank you for the advice.
I intend to send my laptop in for repair, however I won't be able to do so in the near future due to the repair downtimes. (As such I'll still be needing it for quite some time)
A new type of BSOD: video dxkrnl fatal error has started occurring and I have attached both dumpfiles to this post, is this again related to my failing hard disk, because it sounds like a graphic driver issue.

I have updated my graphic card drivers so I'm not sure what's causing the issue. May I request for your insight in this? Thank you!

The Nvidia display driver makes a call to DpiDispatchPower, if I read it correct DpiDispatchPower provides IRPs. An IRP (I/O Request Package) is basically a way for drivers to communicate with each other.

Right after the call is made a critical error occured crashing the system.

Because it is a minidump I can't look at the IRP to see what happens, so I make an assumption to say it is related to the disk problem.

I would like to ask if you could provide a kernel dump, located in %systemroot%\memory.dmp, so I can have a look at this IRP.
This file is too large to upload it directly, you'll need to upload it to onedrive, google drive or dropbox and post a share link.

I've pm-ed the link to you.

Another crash just occurred before this (same error), and the minidump is here as well.

It seems that DpiDispatchPower was unable to finish and thus didn't provide an IRP.

Other crashes that are similar to below bugcheck (including parameters) are likely caused by the disk problem.
