Solved Random freezes!

I am encountering random freezes which can only be resolved by manually holding the power on/off button. I am not receiving any BSOD and when I try ctrl+alt+del to try and end some processes, the mouse just freezes and a little "beep" noise sounds and then everything is completely frozen.

What files should I post here so you can help me ? Thank you!

This is my PC Specs:
Motherboard: MSI Z77A-G43
CPU: Intel i5 Ivy Bridge 3570k
RAM: Team Group Elite @ 8GB @ 1600mhz
GPU: Gigabyte HD6850 OC
HDD: Samsung 1 TB SATA-II Spinpoint F3
PSU: Corsair CX-400W

I don't use AVG, don't use Chrome, don't use Real Player. I've disabled C-State from bios. Last time the freeze occurred while using the Metro Internet Explorer, while charging a page.( In background I've had opened TeamSpeak 3 , Skype, Yahoo Messenger, Eset Smart Security 5). Thank you! I'll wait to see if the disable C-State does the trick. And I have a little other problem with ESET. When I try to make any changes to it I get this error message: 0a8008518230011ff64b3f3baf3f41fb.png Thank you again!

I've gotta wonder if there's a permissions change in Win8 on one of the places that ESET stores it's info.
Is there a Win8 version of ESET Smart Security? If not, try uninstalling it and using the default antivirus program.

I don't see a response...

Thank you adamus! An outstanding explanation!

What did adamus say? I suffer from hangs/freezes that I suspect have to do with flash in ANY browser. :/ Same symptom, system starts to slow down (rapidly) then FROZEN. Have to hit the on-off button for 5 secs to kill her.

We may have a problem with languages here - and I'm sad that adamus removed his post.

Adamus' post was about problems with ESET Smart Security and link was about one of the features that's not compatible with Win8.

Does anyone here speak Tagalog? How about Spanish?

This is from a Tagalog web translator:

Sir,

No harm and nothing to apologize.
I'm the one who didn't read carefully with the concern of the thread starter. :)

I got no freezes after I deactivated the C-State but I still go back to Windows 7 until the official W8 is released because it is still buggy, and I cannot use Google Chrome(that is the most brilliant browser) and the Eset Smart Security isn't going along pretty well with windows 8, and in my opinion this is the best AV Software, that never let me down in any circumstances. Thank you all for the time spent trying to help me! I really appreciate this kind of people that use their time, doing something great: Helping other people without expecting anything in return!. Thumbs up for you guys and keep up the good work!

Some freezing is not in the browser it self, it may occur from the driver that have installed when we update the pc/laptop.

The last time I install google chrome I taught it's the browser that freezes trigger but I figure it out for some drivers I have install was the cause of the freezing.

And also AV might cause of the freezing for there are some protection that cannot be activated in Win 8 RP OS.

the Eset Smart Security isn't going along pretty well with windows 8, and in my opinion this is the best AV Software, that never let me down in any circumstances.

If your an ESET User I suggest you to visit this link ESET Smart Security 6 Release Candidate it's their recent release.

Though the previous ESET SS v5 is not compatible in Win8 OS and I follow the thread of sir usasma to post my concern with the ESET AV to his thread http://www.eightforums.com/crashes-...problems-culled-other-posts-2.html#post102045

The ESET RC works fine.
