    Asus X550L BSOD - ntoskrnl.exe 3 times in service already


    Hi everyone,

    Asus X550L owner here. This notebook has been giving me trouble since I bought it. I was three times in service already.

    First time they said it looks fine, they replaced the HDD though.

    Second time: they said they have replaced the motherboard

    Third time: new motherboard + new HDD

    Keeps giving me the BSOD. I am out of options and the notebook has only 50 days or so of warranty left.

    Also, this notebook has been been used maybe two weeks combined since I purchased it in April 2015.

    I have followed your guide to post the dump files so here they are:

    Also, a couple of more errors are to be found using the Event Viewer function in Windows.

    The speed of processor 0 in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 71 seconds since the last report.
    One for each processor.

    If 'they' is a repair shop and have installed your OS I would phone them and/or report them.

    You are using a counterfeit copy of Windows 8.1 what could attribute to the problem but more importantly is against the forum rules what makes that we can't help you unless you prove to us that you have a genuine installation what can be done by uploading a new zip from the DM Log Collector.

    I got the notebook back with Windows pre-installed. They are the official service for Asus here.

    I can tell you, the activation you have is only legit with organisations using enterprise installations, you have the core version, no way that is genuine.

    The laptop was being re-packed again and will be sent back today.

    I'm sick of this already and they refuse to take back the laptop and offer me a new one or an alternative. I'd be more than happy to pay a difference for one that is more expensive but new.
