I have the last 2 month been trying to figure out why my PC keeps crashing. This started after doing a clean install of Windows 10 Home x64. The crash happens when playing games, has never happened while just browsing.

Current setup:
  • Inte Core i5 4670K @ 3.40GHz
  • Crucial DDR3 8gig x2 / Corsair DDR3 4gig
  • ASUSTeK Z97-P motherboard
  • MSI GeForce GTX 970
  • Corsair Force GS SSD (windows) / Samsung SSD 850 EVO 1TB / Western Digital 2gig

Things i have tried (it obviusly didnt solve the problem though).
  • I have tried a clean windows 7 install
  • Reinstalled windows 10 several times during the testing.
  • Run driver verifier several times
  • Replaced the Motherboard along with new memory sticks.
  • Checked all USB items, to make sure they are not the cause (keyboard, mouse, etc)
  • Checked all my HDDs. I unplugged them all, and just put in a brand new one, and installed a clean install of Windows 10
  • Replaced the PSU - thats the gap between the 6th to the 12th when looking at the dump files. Computer ran fine for a few days.
  • Tested with another graphics card, an AMD card.
  • Done stress test on CPU, GPU and memory
  • Monitoring heat, and while playing games my CPU is around 50 - 60 degrees, and heat on other parts looks fine.
  • Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

I have now basically a whole new computer, exept for the graphics card (which is not the cause of the bluescreens) and my CPU, and the case itself. I have another CPU i will be testing tomorrow, and im going to get a new case (was going to do that either way, so.)

But i cannot find anything useful in the dump files, nor in the windows system log.

At this moment, i have run out of ideas and stuff to test. I am completly stumped, and apart from trying another CPU and case, there is nothing else i can think of doing.

After searching through all whole bunch of BSOD posts, i found a link to the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool and ran it. The CPU Frequency failed. I'm not entierly sure what this means tho.
