have you run the lenovo onekey button and can you get to the bios? (pressing the little button on the side)

I clicked it and cyberlink popped up giving me an option to either do a system backup or a system restore. I am not good with computers so I dont know what bios are. I attached files to my thread so people can look at them and help me make my next step. I dont know what any of this stuff means.

Dont you have a lenovo Laptop?? cyberlink??

It's called Lenovo Onekey.. where did cyberlink come from?

by the way, how long have you had this Lenovo computer and all the sudden this huge error and restarting? I'm sure you didn't buy a Lenovo computer and bring it home or receive it, you opened it up and it started doing this error??

    - So how long since this started.. and do you have an iphone? or camera you can take a picture and show what it's doing?

Also more importantly, do you care what's on your computer and if it was to get erased completely, are you ok with that?

cause I think if you don't mind losing everything you have on your computer, it's time to obliterate it and start over with Factory Defaults.. how do you feel about that?

What does it matter where cyberlink came from? I'm not exactly lying when I said "cyberlink" so what does it matter where it came from?
I told you what options it gave me. If it's a system restore you want me to do then just say that.

I also dont see the relevance in how long I have had it and how long it's been having this error. I got it off the internet and I'm sure it started doing it after a month or whatever. I've had it a few months and my mom bought it without a warranty. But again, this info wont help me.

If the only option is to obliterate everything I dont think I wanna do that. I thought people were going to suggest I update or remove drivers or something, not obliterate my computer and start over especially if no one knows if that would even help.

I was told to run a program and attach the files to this thread and no one has looked at my files.

Ok buddy.. are you ready to learn something now? are you ready to learn how to troubleshoot?

here we go first lesson, - there is reason for telling more information as it can be relevant..

    1. One example of why it "matters where cyberlink came from", is:

90% of computer users download software from god knows where and click things they shouldn't.. that's normal unfortunately, and just a part of life.. What is most typical, especially when you , Assuming if you are talking about Cyberlink multimedia, they are a product company in Taiwan - known for video editing software, -well, turns out, that Cyberlink is a popular illegally downloaded video editing program and typically comes with malware! hmmm... but it's not "relevant.." yes of course..

Look, I'm not saying you have a virus just yet.. but why it's "very relevant", where it came from.. learn anything yet?

or just type in google even..

    2. also When you press the Lenovo button on your side of your Lenovo computer, it should bring an option like so..

nothing with Cyberlink words on it yet by the way..

The Update and Solution for that :
Now, if you actually did more research instead of just telling me "it's not relevant and who cares when it started and blah blah.." then you would have come back at me with Cyberlink Corp is actually the company that probably made Lenovo OneKey..

I also dont see the relevance in how long I have had it and how long it's been having this error. I got it off the internet and I'm sure it started doing it after a month or whatever. I've had it a few months and my mom bought it without a warranty. But again, this info wont help me.
Again, it helps anyone at EightForums, and is yet again relevant info, because it is a major factor in how to answer you buddy.. Now that you said it started a month ago, you probably just missed the deadline to return it from ?amazon? but maybe you have some options under warranty from Lenovo since I believe it's a year..

and telling when something started, can tell everyone a lot of information - things like if it was a user error and not a hardware fault, as it is fairly new, 1-3 months.. which we didn't' know before.. that information was withheld..

I was told to run a program and attach the files to this thread and no one has looked at my files.
who told you that? Lenovo forums? if I knew, then maybe I wouldn't waste your time telling you this as maybe you already did it.. but again I don't know.. (because it wasn't relevant right?)

I found small things like this on Lenovo forums.. whish have you asked there? I dont' know yet because you haven't mentioned..

    is This your laptop?
    Lenovo G50-45 80E3 - 15.6" - A series HDD - 80E3005NUS

try also putting in your exact model and looking to see if there is a bios update
which I guess you haven't done.. or it wasn't "relevant"..

    Attachment 67271

    Attachment 67272
make sure that is your laptop model..

    your info shows this

    Attachment 67273

If the only option is to obliterate everything I dont think I wanna do that. I thought people were going to suggest I update or remove drivers or something, not obliterate my computer and start over especially if no one knows if that would even help.
Well, it's not fun but being now that we know you've only had the computer for 1-3 months, erasing everything and going back to the defaults may not be that bad..

and 2. if you are just randomly restarting, it's going to be very difficult to install things and run them if you just restart all the time with that error..

    have you tried safe mode

Safe Mode - Start Windows 8 in

You would be best to Obliterate your computer at this point being it so new, and you still have the Lenovo OneKey Recovery intact.. and your computer apparently worked when it arrived from the Internet to your door the first time right?

so why not use Lenovo OneKey and set it back to the original like when you first opened it up..

Yes you will lose all programs and games and downloaded whatever that You did for 3 months..... but the original programs that were first there when you started your computer for the first time will be there though..

I don't like your tone you used in the beginning of your post. It was disrespectful, so I dont want anymore help.

    Did we learn anything now?
